Children & Youth
NURSERY
CSLC has a beautiful, clean nursery where the youngest guests can play while their parents attend service. See Cindy in the church office if you would like to use this service.
CARPENTER'S CORNER
We have a Children's Ministry on Sunday mornings at 10:10 a.m. throughout the school year for elementary school ages and a Neighborhood Bible Camp in the summer
FAITH FORMATION
Youth in grades 6 through 8 meet Sundays at 10:10 a.m. to learn more about our Christain faith and what it means to them. This is augmented by activities, including hikes to enjoy God's creation.
This group is small, but mighty. We meet weekly for a structured Bible study and fellowship. Each six to ten weeks we employ a new structured study using published study materials from female faith leaders. Our next study is The Armor of God by Priscilla Shirer, beginning on March 25.
Each week we watch a video of Priscilla and during the week complete exercises which illuminate Scripture and the context of the early church. This has deepened our knowledge and appreciation of Christ’s sacrifice.
Friends in Christ!
Participation in the group has helped us grow closer and support each other. Occasionally we like to go to lunch after the study or perform another activity together.
TUESDAYS 11:30 A.M. - Bring your lunch
Using passages from "Our Daily Bread" monthly booklet (freely available in the church lobby) as a launch point, this group of men gather to discuss a multitude of issues.
They learn from each other’s perspectives and seek to understand God’s purpose in current circumstances. The men enjoy camaraderie over their lunches and also discuss ways to be excellent disciples.
Wednesday Morning Prayer Friends @ 9 a.m.
This group meets to pray for the needs of the church, our community, and our world. Prayer requests may be directed to Elaine Williams, who leads the group and maintains the "prayer chain".
As Paul wrote in Philippian's 4:6:
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made to God."
Pastor Ted will lead this exploration of the book of Psalms. Come experience favorites and new choices.
Discovery Group
Thursday mornings @ 10:00 a.m.
This long-standing group explores various books of the Bible, digging deep to uncover new insights.
Current study is the book of Acts.
