Bible Studies & Groups

Christ the Servant offers a number of Bible Studies, Christian training, and groups where we come together to support one another.

See current offerings listed below. If you are not finding a fit, contact Pastor Joe or Cindy Beal for guidance and introduction.

We look forward to welcoming you!

Children & Youth

NURSERY

CSLC has a beautiful, clean nursery where the youngest guests can play while their parents attend service.  See Cindy in the church office if you would like to use this service.

CARPENTER'S CORNER

We have a Children's Ministry on Sunday mornings at 10:10 a.m. throughout the school year for elementary school ages and a Neighborhood Bible Camp in the summer.

FAITH FORMATION

Youth in grades 6 through 8 meet Sundays at 10:10 a.m. to learn more about our Christain faith and what it means to them. This is augmented by activities, including hikes to enjoy God's creation.

Women's Study -

Tuesday @ 9:30 a.m.

This group is small, but mighty.  We meet weekly for a structured Bible study and fellowship.  Each six to ten weeks we employ a new structured study using published study materials, usually from female faith leaders.  A recent study was The Armor of God by Priscilla Shirer, with video lessons and a workbook.

For the summer, we shifted gears and are studying Colossians. A new study will start in the Fall.

Friends in Christ!

Participation in the group has helped us grow closer and support each other. Occasionally we like to go to lunch after the study or perform another activity together.

Wednesday Morning Prayer Friends @ 9 a.m.

This group meets to pray for the needs of the church, our community, and our world. Prayer requests may be directed to Elaine Williams, who leads the group and maintains the "prayer chain".

As Paul wrote in Philippian's 4:6:

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made to God."

Luke - Wed., September 17 through November 19 @ 10:00

Pastor Ted will lead this study of the book of Luke. Come learn more from this important book.

TUESDAYS 11:30 A.M. - Bring your lunch

Men's Connection

Using passages from "Our Daily Bread" monthly booklet (freely available in the church lobby) as a launch point, this group of men gather to discuss a multitude of issues.

They learn from each other’s perspectives and seek to understand God’s purpose in current circumstances.  The men enjoy camaraderie over their lunches and also discuss ways to be excellent disciples.

Discovery Group

Thursday mornings @ 10:00 a.m.

This long-standing group explores various books of the Bible, digging deep to uncover new insights.

Current study is the book of Acts.
